HISTORY
Believed to be a supervillain cult that worshiped Zombie Hornet. The Locusts are, in fact, Zombie Hornet’s foot soldiers: terrifying biomechanical nightmares that descend in swarms on government facilities throughout the Midwest. Unknown to law enforcement, each Locust is a hybrid of dead organic matter, cybernetic grafts, and psionic hive-code, grown for loyalty and lethality. They are Zombie Hornet’s plague, his vanguard, his will made flesh and steel.
When they strike, it’s as a wave: disciplined yet feral, guided by a shared mind that adapts in real-time. Locusts do not negotiate. They do not rest. They do not disobey. Their purpose is simple: overwhelm, harvest, extinguish.
POWERS & ABILITIES
Hive Intelligence: All Locusts are connected to the Hive Swarm Core. While individually limited, in groups they demonstrate coordinated tactical intelligence, including flanking maneuvers, bait-and-draw tactics, and terrain adaptation.<
Necro-Adaptive Physiology: Can regenerate minor wounds using ambient organic matter or the remains of fallen foes. Some units self-mutate in battle under Hive directive.
Wall-Crawling & Flight: All Locusts have retractable anti-grav wings and insectoid limb-hooks for vertical assault.
WEAPONS & PARAPHERNALIA
Chitin-Talons: Retractable arm blades made from reinforced insectoid alloy, able to shear through body armor.
Death Spores: Some Locusts are equipped with venting sacs that release viral spores on death, contaminating the battlefield and reanimating corpses into Swarmthralls.
Hive Sigil Implant: Embedded beneath the thorax carapace, this sigil keeps them loyal and allows Zombie Hornet direct command override. When extracted from a dead Locust, the sigil can power short-range necro-tech devices or be used to trace swarm activity.
