Mel Ford is a comic book artist and graphic designer based in Kalamazoo, Michigan, with roots in the local independent-comics scene going back to the 1990s. His work appeared in Kalamazoo Comix, including issue #4 in 1997. Ford has discussed a background in graphic design and drawing, and in more recent years has incorporated digital tools such as the iPad into his illustration process. His artwork reflects his love of classic, old-school, two-fisted superheroes.

At G-Man Comics, Mel has contributed artwork to Invictus: Outrage, including Invictus: Outrage #2, and has also contributed to the G-Men Comics Endless Summer Special #1.
