HISTORY

The man known only as “The Crusader” was first spotted operating in Europe, where he went on a bloody campaign, murdering anyone he decided was trafficking with dark forces. A man of deep personal religious conviction, he deals swiftly and without mercy with any individual he finds practicing magic, whether dark or light, or claiming to receive personal benefit from a “god” or other supernatural being. “Thou shalt not suffer a witch to live” and “Thou shalt have no other gods before me” are rules by which he lives.

With the reemergence of the thunder god Taranis into the modern world, the Crusader was thrown into a frenzy. He has sworn that it will be by his sword that this “demon” is sent back to the hell from which it has sprung.

POWERS & ABILITIES

The Crusader does not appear to have any innate superhuman abilities, but he is a master of multiple forms of hand-to-hand combat, remarkably strong and agile for a man of his size and build, and highly skilled in the use of various weapons, especially swords and blades. He is highly intelligent, with a keen analytical and tactical mind and an apparent encyclopedic knowledge of Christian religious lore and tradition, including rites and practices long thought to be forgotten.
