HISTORY

Little is known historically about Ankhmari. She was an Egyptian princess in the 13th Dynasty. After death, she was embalmed and entombed. While her sarcophagus was on display at the National Gallery of Art she was revived with a magical spell. Since then she has taken up residence in the National Gallery of Art where she shares her knowledge of Egyptian “History” with partons of the Musem.
