HISTORY
Although Meredith Fremont appears to be an ordinary young woman with extraordinary radioactive powers, her true nature is far more mysterious. Atomik Bombshell is actually the Angel of Death, not an extraterrestrial being. Her apparent human identity, missing childhood memories, and devastating abilities conceal a supernatural existence that even Meredith herself does not fully understand.
Atomik Bombshell’s cosmic opposite is Alpha, the angel who brought about the Big Bang and restores life after death. Where Meredith embodies death and endings, Alpha embodies creation, renewal, and life restored. Their opposing roles form two sides of the same cosmic cycle.
Meredith Fremont’s parents disappeared when she was young, and she was placed in foster care. It is unknown what happened to them. We do not know if they abandoned her or died as a result of her powers. Meredith has no memories from before age 9.
At age 9, she had her first known flare-up, and the FBI was called in. Young agent Simon N. Kirby was called to a foster care home. Meredith was upset and had started releasing nuclear radiation. She was floating a foot above the ground, glowing blue with gold atomic bonds swirling around her body. Agent Kirby was able to calm her down, and she reabsorbed the radiation. Meredith has lost all memory of events prior to this incident. Meredith does not know how she acquired her powers.
From that point forward, her foster parents were deeply frightened of her. They couldn’t tell her “no.” They adopted her when she asked, not because they wanted to, but because they were afraid that saying “no” would upset her. Meredith wants to be a good person and a hero. However, throughout her entire life, she has never had a real personal relationship with someone who wanted to be there for her, so her perception of life and relationships is deeply flawed.
Meredith registered as a superhero under the Superhero Registration Act, and Atomik Bombshell became a member of the G-Men. Agent Kirby is the only person in her life who has ever told her “no.”
Don’t make her angry. You wouldn’t like her when she’s angry, upset, crying, or experiencing any negative emotion.
POWERS & ABILITIES
Atomik Bombshell can generate, manipulate, and absorb radioactive energy. When she loses emotional control, she emits deadly radiation. However, she can also reabsorb 100% of the radiation. She can fire energy blasts from her hands and has limited flight ability.
