Ron Charles Williams is an American comic book artist and illustrator who was born in Ohio and raised in California. He has been drawing professionally since the 1990s, with experience in superhero comics, independent and creator-owned projects, commercial illustration, and storyboards for television advertising. Early in his career, Ron also worked with Extreme Studios in Southern California.
Ron comes from a family with notable ties to American history. His grandfather, Bishop Riley F. Williams, founded Williams Temple Church of God in Christ in Memphis, Tennessee. The church played a role in the civil rights era and was among the Memphis churches associated with Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s final visit to the city. Ron is also related to heavyweight boxing champion Joe Louis through his father’s family.
At G-Man Comics, Ron has become a regular interior and cover artist. His work includes the Tales of Otherworld feature connected to Taranis the Thunderlord, bringing the fantasy realm of Avalorr and its characters to life. He has also contributed cover artwork to G-Men United.
Ron is also an artist on First Guard. For First Guard #3, he provided the complete interior art as well as Cover A for “Enter: The Chronarch!”, continuing the team’s time-travel adventure and introducing the Chronarch. His growing body of work across Taranis, G-Men United, and First Guard has made him one of G-Man Comics’ recurring artists.
