History:
The past of the warrior known as Druil is unknown, though he was apparently among a group who left Avalorr to settle new lands. This happened so far in the past that this group slipped from memory, until their settlement was rediscovered by the Thundergod Taranis and his companion Boden the Blind.
As chief of the settlement called Tine, Druil and his forces had been engaged in a lengthy battle with a rival chieftain named Cyngar the Brutal over possession of the enchanted Golden Bow. Their conflicts had often ended in stalemates until Taranis and Boden helped grant Tine a decisive victory, including the apparent death of Cyngar.
Following this series of events, Drill’s daughter Dara left Tine to act as ambassador to Avalorr, reestablishing long-lost ties to their homeland. Druil remained behind to continue to act as the leader of Tine.
Powers:
As a member of the gods of Avalorr, Druil possesses all the normal attributes of a male member of his race, though his strength is greater than average. While the normal male Celtic god can lift (press) approximately 50 tons, Druil can lift (press) approximately 65 tons. He is also a charismatic and compassionate leader, well-loved by the people of Tine.
Druil also wields the Golden Bow, and enchanted weapon that only he and his daughter Dara are able to lift and draw. When loosed, the arrows can strike a target as far away as 400 meters without fail, impacting with the full force of the draw, suffering no loss of kinetic energy over distance traveled. He also carries a sword constructed of a metal native to Otherworld.
