HISTORY

The Suits are an international criminal syndicate organized around a rigid hierarchy modeled after a deck of playing cards. Though often mistaken for a theatrical “gimmick” organization by inexperienced authorities, the Suits are, in reality, one of the most disciplined and financially entrenched criminal networks operating in the modern era.

The organization is ruled by four crime lords collectively known as the Aces. Each Ace oversees a distinct operational branch tied to their respective suit symbol and maintains direct command over loyal operatives known as “Cards.” These Cards range from disposable street-level soldiers to highly trained assassins and field commanders.

The Ace of Spades controls espionage, intelligence gathering, and covert eliminations. The Ace of Clubs oversees weapons trafficking, enforcement, and paramilitary operations. The Ace of Hearts specializes in recruitment, manipulation, and social infiltration. The Ace of Diamonds manages the organization’s financial empire, including shell corporations, political bribery, and international laundering operations.

Unlike many criminal organizations, the Suits prioritize institutional survival over personal notoriety. Leadership positions are treated as titles rather than identities; when an Ace falls, another eventually claims a seat at the table.

Internal rivalries between the Aces are common, though open conflict is rare. The organization maintains unity through mutual profit, strategic necessity, and the understanding that disorder threatens the entire deck.

OPERATION / ABILITIES

The Suits possess no individual superhuman powers, but compensate for that disadvantage through organization, wealth, and specialized personnel.

Assets commonly associated with the organization include elite armed operatives, international smuggling routes, political influence networks, advanced surveillance infrastructure, armored transport and weapons caches, covert intelligence operations, and trained assassins and mercenaries.

Cards are trained according to suit affiliation, resulting in operational specialization between divisions.

The organization’s greatest strength is its adaptability. Even major defeats rarely cripple the syndicate for long, as leadership structures, financial systems, and operational cells are designed to survive the loss of individual members.

Among intelligence agencies and superhero organizations alike, the Suits are regarded as a long-term systemic threat rather than a conventional criminal gang.
