HISTORY
Dmitri Ivanov was once a disillusioned factory worker who grew bitter over the growing divide between the wealthy elite and the working class. Convinced that capitalism had rotted America from within, Ivanov embraced radical ideology and reinvented himself as the Red Ant, a self-proclaimed champion of the proletariat. Through a combination of charisma and technology, he gathered a devoted legion of followers known as the Army Ants, militant revolutionaries who execute coordinated raids on corporations, financial institutions, and luxury estates.
Red Ant and his men wage a self-styled “people’s war” against what they call the “American Oligarchs,” seizing wealth, sabotaging industry, and spreading propaganda urging an uprising of the working class. His campaign of disruption drew the attention of federal authorities and several superheroes. During a failed operation against a defense contractor, Henry Rothländer, Red Ant was captured and is now imprisoned in a maximum-security facility. Despite his incarceration, the Army Ants continue his mission, awaiting the day their leader is freed to rejoin the revolution.
POWERS & ABILITIES
Red Ant does not have any superhuman abilities. He relies on his sharp mind, disciplined body, weapons, and paraphernalia.
WEAPONS & PARAPHERNALIA
Red Ant’s uniform is equipped with a cybernetic helmet that regulates his strength via technology of his own design. The suit also enhances his physical resilience and contains encrypted commlinks to coordinate with his Army Ant cells.
His followers employ modified versions of his technology in less stable forms, granting them limited strength and agility boosts for short durations during raids.
